Today’s guest blogger is my friend, Diana, who is a creative Maryland girl like myself. I’ve been obsessed with manicures lately and Diana sent me some awesome pictures of her glitter ombre nails that she DIY-ed. I loved them so much I asked her to come up with a tutorial for Tuesday Nailtique. Check out Diana’s great tips on how to do this yourself. Diana has some other cool things in the works so you might see more from her sometimes soon….Follow her on Twitter, or at dpulupa on Instagram.

You Need:
Clear Base + top coat
Solid nail polish in a metallic purple color (I used ULTA Purple Haze)
Accent nail polish in metallic teal color (I used Sephora by O.P.I. Mermaid to Order)
Accent nail polish in teal glitter (I used ULTA Love Fern) (Optional)
Make-up sponge (I cut mine into smaller pieces – see photo)
Instructions:
1. Paint base coat and paint 2 coats of metallic purple color on all nails. Let dry.
2. Paint two lines of color on the make up sponge, one of the metallic purple color and one of the metallic teal color.
3. Sponge the color on making sure the accent color is at the tips of nails, repeat until desired color is attained (I use two coats of sponging)
4. Paint a thin layer of glitter at the tips of nails to desired glitter effect. Let dry.
5. Use a q-tip or small brush dipped in nail polish remover to get any excess polish that the sponge may have left on your skin around your nails. Paint top coat.
